TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1997 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED INTO THE REVERSE POSITION IT ERRONEOUSLY ACCELERATED AND THE BRAKES BECAME DISENGAGED. THE PROBLEM OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
