TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE RADIO, CLOCK, AND FUEL GAUGE FAILED AT THE SAME TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE RADIO WIRES, WHICH WERE CROSSED, CAUSING THE FUEL GAUGE, CLOCK, RADIO AND BATTERY TO DRAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WILL BE CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 198,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 201,000.
VEHICLE PARKED OVERNIGHT AND VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED. THE FIRE OCCURRED IN THE REAR PASSENGER'S DOOR. WAS INSPECTED & WAS INFORMED OF POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL WIRING SHORTING OUT. WAS NOTED NOTHING FROM MANUFACTURER. *AK
THERE WAS A SHORT CIRCUIT IN ELECTRICAL OF FUSE BOX, CAUSING VEHICLE TO CATCH ON FIRE. DEALERS NOTED FAULTY WIRES. *AK

ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE HEATER , THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE ON POSITION AND THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE IN THE HEATER DUE TO A ELECTRICAL WIRING MALFUNCTIONING. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE WIRING HARNESS. *AK
