Owner Complaints for the 2022 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 4XE

254 complaints have been filed with NHTSA for the 2022 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 4XE. Below is a breakdown by vehicle component.

Most Recent Complaints

#11650653 | AIR BAGS | | N/A miles
The vehicle is displaying "service hybrid system" when driving at highway speeds. We have been told by the service center that this is just a code b273c-00, an error with the airbag system, and we should not worry about this since it is a computer glitch. I have confirmed with the service advisor that it is now impossible to distinguish a real hybrid system malfunction from a "fake" airbag system warning. I am told that the vehicle is safe to drive and nothing requires repair, however, Jeep star publication case S2408000063 states there is a fix, but it is only to be used to "mitigate buyback." That is unacceptable and needs to be remedied as soon as possible.

While driving on the highway, I heard a loud POP coming from the roof of my vehicle. I have a panoramic sunroof. I then pulled over and saw that my sunroof had shattered. The car is less than two years old. I did some research and discovered that I was not the first person to whom this happened. I contacted Jeep, and they were no help with it. They stated they were not responsible for anything and did not even care what I had to say.
#11645230 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | | N/A miles
This vehicle has a nonstop history of unresolved electrical issues cause numerous warnings of failed systems, failure to start and randomly going into "Limp mode". It has been to the Jeep service shop 7 times so far. Recently, the vehicle completely shut down and lost all power while driving at speeds higher than 50 mph on 2 separate occasions. On February 2nd 2025 the vehicle lost power on the freeway at 80 mph. I swerved into the left shoulder to prevent an accident. vehicle was towed to Jeep service center, a software upgrade was performed and returned to me as presumed "fixed" by Jeep. On February 25, 2025 the vehicle again lost all power while driving down a highway at 50 mph. Again, forcing me to swerve off the road onto the right shoulder to avoid an accident. Vehicle again was towed to a Jeep service center where it remains.
