[XXX] we were camping in Maryland. I attempted to exit the motorhome through the only exit door. When I turned the door handle to open the door the handle fell off. We were not able to exit the motorhome. I called the RV Office and they sent over a maintenance man who had to open the door from the outside. The back end of the handle fell off the handle. The handle is made from aluminum and the end is rolled over there is a snap ring in a groove as cell. The snap ring groove apparently wore out which caused the whole device to fall apart. This could have been a catastrophic event in the case of an emergency. I could not locate a replacement part in the area where we are camping so I decided to fix it myself. I went to the hardware store and purchased a 5/16 by 18 tap and a drill bit and a washer and a bolt. The entire lock mechanism should be reworked to prevent a possible fatality. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Ever since it was purchased new in 2021, the RV leans excessively to the passenger side even when it is unloaded and not moving. The dealer stated this is normal due to the weight distribution of the interior components. I recently noticed there are signs of the passenger side inner rear tire rubbing on a piece of chassis sheet metal, where the clearance is less than 1" on the passenger side. The same area on the driver side appears normal, with ample clearance (approximately 3-4") and no signs of tire rubbing. I am concerned about the rubbing tire causing a tire blowout. I am also concerned about the vehicle tipping over around a corner due to the preexisting leaning of the coach. The vehicle is available for inspection. On 6/3/24, I started a dialogue with the manufacturer concerning this issue. The manufacturer has not yet inspected the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2022 Jayco Precept RV built on a 2022 Ford F-53 chassis. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 60 MPH, the roller shade located above the windshield unraveled. Due to the failure, her husband's visibility became completely obstructed and he was unable to see anything in front of the RV. The contact and assisted her husband with the roller shade to prevent a potential crash. The contact's husband was able to pull over to the side of the road and used duct tape to secure the roller shade. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact and her husband to the local dealer. The RV was taken to a dealer and remained with the dealer. The RV was not repaired. The failure mileage was 7,114.
