The Lippert Schwintek slide system has failed on our 2020 Jayco Melbourne 24L at least five times (and been repaired 4 times - about to be 5 times) since it was purchased on 9/18/2023. When the slide fails, it is not locked into place and will extend out of the perimeter of the RV when driving around a corner or curve. This results in danger to us as it can cause us to lose control of the RV if it slides too far out while navigating a curve. We have had to stop on a busy interstate to push the slide back in! So far, only one of the slide corners has failed. If both fail, the entire slide will go out and will result in a catastrophic incident. When the slide mechanism fails, it makes a loud "pop".
