Owner Complaints for the 2002 JAYCO FIRENZA

1 complaint has been filed with NHTSA for the 2002 JAYCO FIRENZA. Below is a breakdown by vehicle component.

Most Recent Complaints

#10357825 | SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC | | 18,000 miles
FAILURE RELATES TO SAFETY RECALL 51101-C, WORKHORSE CHASIS AND BOSCH BRAKES CALIPERS. OUR VEHICLE IS HAVING THE TYPE OF PROBLEMS INDICATED IN THE RECALL NOTICE, THE BRAKES ARE SEIZING UP AND THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE LIGHT IS ON. MY MAIN CONCERN IS GETTING THE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP. WORKHORSE IN A PHONE CONVERSATION TOLD ME TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL IT WILL NOT MORE ANY MORE AND THEN CALL THEM FOR ASSISTANCE. THE REPAIR SHOP IS APPROX. 25 MILES FROM THE LOCATION OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE HAD THIS SAME FAILURE, THE FIRST TIME BEING 3 YEARS AGO. AT THAT TIME THE BRAKES FAILED ENTIRELY WHILE ON ROUTE 75 IN MARIETTA, GA. FORTUNATELY WE WERE ABLE TO AVOID A ACCIDENT. THIS IS A 22 THOUSAND POUND VEHICLE AND THE THOUGHT OF TRYING TO DRIVE IT AGAIN WITH DEFECTIVE BRAKES DOES NOT SEEM TO BE REASONABLE. I FEEL THAT IF THE VEHICLE IS SHOWING THE SYMPTOMS WHICH CAUSED THE RECALL THE COMPANY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFE DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE TO THE REPAIR FACILITY. MY OTHER CONCERN RELATES TO THE SCOPE OF THE RECALL, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS LIMITED TO THE CALIPERS WHICH WERE LOCKING UP. AS THE ALB LIGHT IS ON AND WILL NOT GO OFF WE HAVE OBVIOUSLY DAMAGED THE SENSORS RELATED TO THAT FUNCTION. ALSO, IF WE DRIVE THE VEHICLE AS SUGGESTED THERE WILL PROBABLY BE OTHER DAMAGE DUE TO EXCESSIVE HEAT. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU. *TR
