We recently purchased this camper and in preparation I crawled under it and looked around and what I saw made me cringe. The welding on the frame was the worst welding I've seen in years on a product for sale the main beams that tie the camper front to back were only welded on one side of the beam and there are four sides that could be welded. And upon further inspection found the weld on the main beam in the rear has already started to crack side.mounts for the camper body are only welded half the length of the bracket to the frame. The only thing I can is I contacted jayco and their response was I need to talk to the frame manufacturer. I said no I won't you sold it it's your responsibility to check incoming parts and make sure it meets specification. Not satisfied with there...
With only 1,400 miles on RV, it was noticed that both the driver and passenger side rear tires had worn down to the belts on the inside. The axles have been replaced so they are likely no longer available for inspection, although I do have pictures. The safety risk is that had the faulty suspension parts completely failed, the axles could have become disengaged from the RV causing a major accident. The tires were also close to complete failure. The problem was confirmed by a service technician at a Jayco dealer.
We have experienced an axle failure on our 2021 Jayco Travel Trailer. The trailer has never been over GVW. After a month of discussion with Lippert/Jayco they are unwilling to correct the following issue. Lippert's axle sticker (photo attached) states the Static Load Radius as measured is 11.9" & not to exceed this rating by more than 10%. The Baja Edition option as built by Jayco comes with 16" wheels & off road Goodyear tires. My Measurement of the SLR is 14.6" which exceeds the warning on the Lippert axle sticker. This is what I believe contributed to my axle failure. Our safety was put at great risk with this failure.
