2022 JAYCO FIFTH WHEEL NORTH POINT — Problems, Recalls & Safety Data

The VIN sticker and cargo carrying capacity sticker on my 2022 Jayco North Point 382FLRB have a major discrepancy. The VIN sticker says the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is 16,995 pounds, but the yellow weight rating sticker on the outside by the VIN sticker and on the inside of the door says the GVWR is 19,995 pounds. This is a MAJOR issue, because the axles on the camper are only rated at 7400 pounds each, and if someone was to load it with 5,084 pounds, like the yellow weight rating stickers lead you to believe, it would be extremely dangerous and could result in catastrophic failure of the trailer, axles, suspension, wheels/tires, and frame. The contact owns a 2022 Jayco Northpoint RV. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the RV was pulling to the left. No warning light was illuminated. The RV was taken to the dealer, and it was confirmed that the axles were misplaced and needed to be replaced. The RV was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was awaiting a response. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
