Defect: CERTAIN REPLACEMENT FUEL FILTERS, FRAM BRAND NAME P/N G3727, WITH DATE CODES X52911 THROUGH X60801 SEQUENTIALLY OR X600141 AND A MEXICO COUNTRY OR ORIGIN MARKING ON THE FUEL FILTER HOUSING MANUFACTURED FROM OCTOBER 18, 2005, THROUGH MARCH 21, 2006, SOLD FOR USE ON THE VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE AND ON CERTAIN SCHOOL BUSES. (TO SEE THE SCHOOL BUS ENGINE SIZES, CLICK...

Consequence: THIS CONDITION MAY CAUSE AN INADEQUATE SEAL AT THE CONNECTION, POTENTIALLY LEADING TO A FUEL LEAK. IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, A FIRE COULD OCCUR.

Remedy: HONEYWELL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE FUEL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 18, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FRAM CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-890-2075 (OPTION 1).

Recall 91V155000 — ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:FRONT UNDERHOOD

Defect: THE ENGINE HARNESS MAY COME IN CONTACT WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING EXPANSION VALVE PROTECTION PLATE, CAUSING CHAFING OF THE HARNESS.

Consequence: THE CHAFING OF THE HARNESS CAN RESULT IN SHORT CIRCUITSOF THE ELECTRICAL WIRING AND POSSIBLE VEHICLE STALLING.

Remedy: REPOSITION THE AIR CONDITIONING EXPANSION VALVE PROTECTION PLATE TO PRECLUDE POSSIBILITY OF CONTACT WITH THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS.

WHILE DRIVING MY 1992 JAGUAR XJS THE FRONT STEERING SEEMED TO HAVE A LOT OF PLAY. GOING OVER BUMPS OR DIPS IN THE ROAD MADE THE CAR DRIFT TO THE LEFT OR TO THE RIGHT. I INTIALLY THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE POWER STEERING AS THAT PART WENT BAD GIVING ME THE SAME CONDITIONS WHEN DRIVING. AFTER PARKING THE CAR IN THE GARAGEOVER NIGHT I WENT TO BACK OUT WHEN I HERD A SNAP. THE POWER STERING WENT OUT. I DID BACK THE CAR UP AND LEFT IT ON THE DRIVEWAY SO THAT IT COULD BE TOWED TO GREAT BRITTANS (JAG DEALOR/REPAIR SHOP). THATS WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT THE WHOLE FRONT SUBFRAME BROKE AND CAME APART, CAUSING THE POWER STEERING HOSE WAS CUT DUE TO THE SUB ASSEMBLY FALLING. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW OF OTHER XJS CARS REPORTING THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I NOW HAVE HAD 2 DIFFERENT SERVICE CENTERS CHECK OUT THE FRONT OF THE JAGUAR AND THEY DO NOT SEE ANY PROBLEM EXCEPT THAT THE WELDS CAME APART. I KNOW THAT THE CAR IS 10 YEARS OLD AND OUT OF WARRANTY AS JAGUAR RELATED TO ME BUT THE ONLY EXPLANATION FOR THIS HAPPENING IS THAT THE SUBASSEMBLY MUST HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE IN BEING BUILT.
