The windshield Carrier (frame) that the windshield sits in rusts out causing the windshield to NOT remain secure the carrier. This can be inspected upon request. I have found online, Many complaints about this issue. The safety factor is, the windshield could become loose or crack while traveling. I am not aware if this has been confirmed by a dealer. At this point, I have not had it inspected but I did have this issue fixed twice to the tune of about $1500.00. Each time this was fixed, it only lasted several years. Last time I had it addressed, I was told that it wouldn't last and that I would need to replace the Carrier or at least the rusted out sections. The warning signs were the water from the rain leaking from above the windshield to the inside of my dash.

#10358029 | SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC | | 14,000 miles
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 ITASCA SUNRISE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE BRAKES SUDDENLY LOCKED UP AND THE VEHICLE WOULD ONLY MOVE AT A VERY LOW SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND PARKED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN RECALL 09V110000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) BUT WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER, HE WAS UNABLE TO REACH A REPRESENTATIVE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE PARTS FOR REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 14,000.
#10138911 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING | | 1,885 miles
FUEL GAUGE WAS NOT WORKING WHEN WE TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE. FOUND OUT AFTER PURCHASE THAT THE WIRING HARNESS AND FUEL LINES WERE CRUSHED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR FIVE MORE REPAIR ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT ELECTRICAL FAILURES IN THE VEHICLE AND AT THIS TIME IT IS NOT CORRECTED. AT THIS TIME, WHILE WE ARE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE VEHICLE'S ELECTRONICS STARTS SHUTTING DOWN. WE HAVE OTHER ELECTRICAL FAILURES THROUGHOUT THE COACH AS WELL. ORIGINALLY THE WIRING HARNESS WAS BEING SPLICED WHEN THEY FOUND SECTIONS THAT HAD MELTED TOGETHER. THE LAST REPAIR THERE WAS A NEW WIRING HARNESS INSTALLED, BUT IT HAD TO BE SPLICED AS WELL BECAUSE THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT REACH THE ENTIRE WIRING DUE TO IT BEING COVERED. THE FUEL LINES HAD A RECALL AND THEY WERE FIXED. THE SECOND SAFETY ITEM THAT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO BE REPAIRED IS THE ENGINE COVER INSIDE THE VEHICLE. IT COMES LOOSE WHEN YOU HIT A SOUTHERN WIND FLOW AND SHIFTS TOWARDS THE DRIVER. THE PASSENGER HAS TO SIT SIDEWAYS IN THERE SEAT AND HOLD THE COVER IN PLACE WITH THERE FEET OR FIND SOMETHING SMALL AND HEAVY TO PLACE ON THIS COVER TO PREVENT IT FROM COMING LOOSE. WINNEBAGO AND WORKHORSE WANTS TO KEEP REPAIRING THIS VEHICLE INSTEAD OF TAKING IT OFF THE ROAD. *JB
