Consequence: A broken driveshaft can result in a loss of drive power, or a vehicle roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

While attempting to accelerate my car hesitates and slows down to about 5 miles an hour. This mostly happens in the morning, but does happen in the afternoon while attempting to accelerate to pass. This issue has almost caused me to get in accidents on several occasions. I first noticed this issue when I first purchased the vehicle. I took it in and it was kept at the dealership for a week or so. When it was returned the dealer told me they couldn’t find a problem. I later took the car to another dealer and was the fuel injectors need to be cleaned but this did not fix the problem.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY RELY ON THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND WOULD GO WITH THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO VISIT ANOTHER INFINITI DEALER IF HE WANTED A SECOND OPINION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WITH ANOTHER Q70 MODEL HE PREVIOUSLY OWNED.
