I WAS DRIVING ON I-5 NORTH CA GOING BETWEEN LATHROP AND STOCKTON WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 70 MPH WHEN MY VEHICLE'S ENGINE SEEMED TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL. I BARELY HAD ENOUGH POWER TO GET OFF THE FWY RAMP WHERE IT WAS SAFE TO PARK. I THEN HAD THE CAR TOWED TO AN INFINITI DEALER AND HAD THEM CHECK THE CAR. AFTER THE CAR WAS HOOKED UP TO A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE, I WAS TOLD THAT THE RIGHT MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR-22680-7S00A NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT WHEN THIS SENSOR WENT BAD, THE ENGINE GOES INTO A NEUTRAL MODE OR CLOSE TO SHUTDOWN MODE TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO OTHER PARTS OF THE ENGINE. ONCE THE ENGINE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED, THE PART WAS REPLACED AND THE CAR FUNCTIONED FINE. WHAT SURPRISED ME WAS THAT THE SERVICE TECHNICIANS WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THIS CAUSES ME GREAT CONCERN BECAUSE...
