Recall 19V373000 — SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:DISC:CALIPER

Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2016-2020 IC CE and 2019 IC RE school buses equipped with Bendix ADB 22X brake calipers. The driver side rear brakes may drag.

Consequence: A dragging brake may cause damage to the brake components, which may activate the ABS warning light. The warning light may cause the driver to immediately stop the vehicle and transfer occupants. Additionally, the high temperatures at the wheel end can increase the risk of a fire. Either condition increases the risk of injury.

Recall 18V316000 — STRUCTURE:EMERGENCY:ESCAPE/EGRESS/EXIT

Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2018 IC Bus CE transit buses. The release mechanism on the emergency windows may be difficult to open in an emergency situation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."

Consequence: If extra force is needed to pull the release handle, exit of the vehicle may be hindered, increasing the risk of injury in the event of an emergency.

Remedy: Navistar will notify owners, and dealers will apply dry lubricant to the latch assembly, free of charge. The recall began on June 13, 2018. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 18509.

Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2018 IC bus CE transit buses equipped with 8.8L liquid propane gas (LPG) engines. The LPDM relay for the propane booster pump and the scavenge pump may intermittently fail, causing the fuel pump to stop.

Consequence: If the fuel pump stops, the bus will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
