Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2024 IC Bus CE school buses. The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.
Consequence: A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the defective gears, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 30, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 24504.

Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2024-2025 IC Bus CE SBUS school buses equipped with Intellipark Park Valve Modules (PVM). The rubber ball seal in the PVM may fracture and cause a leak, which can result in park brake failure or unexpected park brake engagement while driving.
Consequence: Park brake failure or unexpected park brake engagement while driving increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the Intellipark PVM, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 01, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 24507.

Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2024-2025 IC Bus CE school buses. The brake lights, in certain conditions, may not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, due to a software error. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
Consequence: Brake lights that fail to illuminate can reduce the visibility of the bus or fail to indicate to other drivers that the bus is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 24, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 24508.
