While driving my steering wheel will lock up and I’ll get an error message for lane keep assist on the dash. I never use lane keep assist so even when it’s off it does this. I have to keep turning my car off and back on for my steering wheel to unlock and the error will disappear.

The contact stated that he was able to drive to his residence by using physical strength to steer the vehicle. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure unless the warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred while driving. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 17,990.
