• The side airbags on the passenger side, extending from the front passenger seat to the back, deployed without cause. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. • The airbags deployed while driving, forcing us to pull over immediately in an unsafe location on a very busy road with two young kids. My son was sitting on tue passenger side in the middle section near the window and was at risk of being severely injured by the airbag deployment. All passengers were put at risk due to the airbags and because stopping on a busy road created an additional safety hazard. • No, the problem hasn’t been reproduced or confirmed yet. • Yes, two police officers and a tow truck operator inspected the vehicle at the scene. Both confirmed that there was no crash, collision, and no visible damage to the car, and were unsure why the airbags deployed....
I made an 8:40 am appointment to fix the 2018 airbag recall (18V-042) and after arriving at the service center was told it would take two days to fix because they were unexpectedly busy, and, they would be unable to give me a loaner vehicle or facilitate it's dropoff when complete. This does not work for us and leaves us exposed to unacceptable safety risk.
The contact owns a 2013 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 40-50 MPH, there was an accident ahead where a trailer crashed into a deer causing the deer to impact the front driver's side of the vehicle. The front passenger-side air bag was the only air bag that was deployed. The front driver-side air bag failed to deploy. After the front passenger air bag deployed the vehicle heated up rapidly and failed to shut off. There were two children seated in the rear of the vehicle. A police report was filed. There were no injuries sustained. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,000.

CHECK FUEL CAP MESSAGE COMES ON SOMETIMES EVEN AFTER I TIGHTEN THE FUEL CAP. SOMETIMES THE MESSAGE STOPS ON ITS OWN. DON'T KNOW WHY. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON SOMETIMES AND GOES OFF ON ITS OWN. DON'T KNOW WHY. I NOTICED THESE ALERTS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING OR SITTING AT AN IDLE. CITY DRIVING WITH VERY LITTLE HIGHWAY DRIVING. I CHECKED HONDA WEBSITE TODAY FOR A LIST OF RECALLS ON MY VIN, BUT THE WEBSITE SAID THAT THERE WERE NOT OPEN RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. I WONDER ABOUT THE AIRBAGS IN THE VEHICLE.
I THOUGHT FINALLY I COULD START ENJOYING THE LUXURY IN A CAR BUT HONDA COMPANY PAINTED MY FACE SHAME BY MAKING ME FEEL DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR PRODUCT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2003 HONDA PILOT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STRUCK A DEER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ONLY THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT HAD THE CONTACT DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO A REST AREA. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE CONTACT WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH WHIPLASH AND A CONCUSSION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED TO BE A TOTAL LOSS BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA PILOT. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V661000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED KUNI HONDA ON ARAPAHOE (LOCATED AT 10750 E ARAPAHOE RD, CENTENNIAL, CO 80112, 720-636-7000) WHO STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT NEED THE RECALL REPAIR PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
TAKATA RECALL WENT TO HONDA CITY OF BETHPAGE BECAUSE I RECEIVED AN EMAIL REGARDING AN AIRBAG RECALL. WAITED HOURS JUST TO LET ME KNOW AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED AND WILL NOT FIX IT. I DIDN'T KNOW WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR THE AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED. DIDN'T EVEN BOTHERING ASKING ME I WANTED IT TO BE FIX OR NOT. SO I'M ASSUMING HONDA DOES NOT FIX AIRBAGS.
THE SRS MODUAL IS DEFECTIVE SO I HAVE NON WORKING AIR BAGS AND THE LEFT SEAT BELT IS DEFECTIVE. HONDA SAYS THE WILL FIX THE SEAT BELT BOT NOT THE SRS MODUAL.

ON 06/28/2014 THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR INDICATED THAT THE AIRBAG IS OFF WHEN A PASSENGER IS SEATED IN THE SEAT. MY 12 YR OLD SON (114 LBS.) WAS THE PASSENGER AT THE TIME OF FAILURE.WE HAVE DOCUMENTED/PHOTOGRAPHED THE AIRBAG LIGHT INITIATING A SENSOR AS BEING OFF WHILE THE SEAT HAS AN OCCUPANT AND WHILE THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN.
