TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ELEMENT. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT HAD TO SWERVE TO AVOID HITTING A DEER AND THE LEFT REAR STRUTS SNAPPED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ROLL OVER 250 FEET. THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY BUT THE SIDE AIR BAGS DID. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,476.
I HAVE HAD MY HONDA ELEMENT INTO MY DEALER FOR THE SAME CREAKING ISSUE IN THE REAR OF MY VEHICLE OVER 6 TIMES. EVERYTIME IT'S NOT FIXED AND THEY MANAGE TO MESS UP SOMETHING ELSE. LATEST IS I HAVE NO REAR HATCH LIGHT AND THE GRAB HANDLE FALLS OFF. *JB
