TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA CBR1000RR. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYED 35 MPH. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE LESS THAN 11,000.
MOTORCYCLE FAILS TO OPERATE IN TRAFFIC ON COMMUTES TO WORK. HEADLIGHTS FAIL, ELECTRONIC SPEEDOMETER AND DISPLAY GOES BLANK, FOLLOWED BY ENGINE FAILURE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE THIS YEAR AND A STATOR WAS FOUND TO BE BURNED ON BOTH EVENTS, REQUIRING REPLACEMENT. *NM
HONDA 2004 CBR 1000RR MOTORCYLE JUST JUST DOWN AT HIGH SPEED AND WAS VERY UNSAFE TO RIDE. IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP AND FIVE MILES LATER IT DID THE SAME THING AGAIN. TURN SIGNALS STARTED TO FLASH ERRACTICALLY AND THE BIKE DID SEEM TO RUN RIGHT OR HAVE ANY POWER. VERY SCARY, VERY UNSAFE. I CAME VERY CLOSS TO HAVING A WRECK ON THIS BIKE. IT HAS ONLY 600 MILES ON IT. I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED, SCARED, AND I DO NOT TRUST MY NEW HONDA MOTORCYCLE AS I DO NOT WANT TO RIDE A BIKE THAT JUST SHUTS DOWN AT HIGH SPEEDS AS THIS CAN CAUSE MANY PROBLEMS, LIKE DEATH! NOT GOOD!!
