TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HIGHLAND RIDGE 3X TRAILER HITCHED TO A 2011 RAM 2500. THE CONTACT WAS EXPERIENCING BRAKING FAILURES ON THE CAMPER. WHILE REVERSING INTO THE DRIVEWAY ON A MUDDY SURFACE, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO IMMEDIATELY STOP THE TRUCK OR THE CAMPER. AS A RESULT, THE TRUCK AND CAMPER SLID IN THE MUD AND STRUCK SOME TREE BRANCHES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CAMPER WAS TAKEN TO BUTLER RV CENTER (196 PITTSBURGH RD, BUTLER, PA 16001, (724) 282-4056), BUT NO FAILURE WITH THE BRAKES COULD BE FOUND. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE COULD BE DUE TO THE BRAKE CONTROLLER IN THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO SMOUSE TRAILERS & SNOW EQUIPMENT (207 SMOUSE RD, MT PLEASANT, PA 15666, (724) 887-7777) WHERE A FAILURE COULD NOT BE FOUND WITH THE BRAKE CONTROLLER.
