With approximately 2000 miles on vehicle rear brake was not capable of stopping the motorcycle. Vehicle was under warranty. I took it to the dealership for repair. Service department called and told me there was no issue with the brakes. I retrieved the bike and had the rear brake caliper removed. Inspection found a stuck piston in the caliper. I provided photo documentation to the dealer at which point they told me to bring the bike back for complete replacement of the rear caliper.
2023 FXLRS with approximately 2000 miles. Rear brake is barely able to slow the motorcycle down, even with excessive pedal pressure. Upon inspection, one of the caliper pistons was stuck in the brake caliper. I had dropped the bike at Timms Harley Davidson in Anderson South Carolina to be checked out. The service manager called to let me know one of their technicians had ridden it and didn't notice a problem. I took the bike back to my shop and removed the rear caliper. I took photos of the stuck piston and sent them to the dealership. I was contacted by phone by the service manager and was told to bring the motorcycle back and that they would replace the caliper with a new one.
