2 complaints have been filed with NHTSA for the 2023 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FLTRK. Below is a breakdown by vehicle component.

Most Recent Complaints

#11682648 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | | N/A miles
I rented a motorcycle from EagleRider in the United States and discovered that the speedometer displayed only kilometers per hour (kph), with no miles per hour (mph). This is not just inconvenient — it is illegal under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 123, which requires that motorcycles in the U.S. display speed in mph, or both mph and kph. Because the bike was non-compliant, I was unable to reliably follow U.S. speed limits for hundreds of miles during a multi-day trip. I had to either guess at my speed or rely on a GPS phone app, which was often unreadable in sunlight and forced me to take my eyes off the road for too long. This created a constant and unnecessary safety risk. This issue is not a one-time defect but a systemic violation: EagleRider, a major rental company, is putting non-road-legal motorcycles into their U.S. rental fleet. Customers are not warned in advance, and riders are left vulnerable to tickets, accidents, and unsafe riding conditions. Renting out motorcycles that do not comply with FMVSS is a serious public safety concern. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate EagleRider’s fleet practices to ensure that no other rider is placed at risk by being issued a non-compliant motorcycle in the United States
