Defect: ACCELERATOR CONTROL MAY STICK IN A DEPRESSED POSITION WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES ARE AT OR BELOW FREEZING.
Consequence: ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN AT GREATER THAN IDLE SPEED WHENOPERATOR REMOVES PRESSURE FROM ACCELERATOR PEDAL, WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOSS OFCONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: REROUTE OR REPLACE ACCELERATOR CABLE WITH A NEW CABLE.
