Defect: Great Dane Trailers (Great Dane) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Champion trailers. The cylinder pin in the slide liftgate may be insufficiently lubricated, which can cause the pin to seize, resulting in lift gate failure.
Consequence: A lift gate that fails during operation increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Great Dane will work with Hiab to replace the lift gate cylinder pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 28, 2026. Owners may contact Great Dane's customer service at 1-877-369-3493.

Consequence: An unsecure connect may allow the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: Great Dane Trailers (Great Dane) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Champion Dry Van trailers equipped with Bridgestone R123 Ecopia tires, size 295/75R22.5. The tires may have been manufactured incorrectly with one of the three stabilizer ply belts applied in the wrong orientation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 119, "New pneumatic tires...
Consequence: Incorrect belt orientation may cause the tires to fail and increase the risk of a crash.
