The contact owns a 2005 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that after his wife turned off the vehicle, the blower motor control module continued to operate and would not shut off as needed. The contact was able to drive the vehicle back home and had a mechanically inclined friend to disconnect the blower motor wiring harness. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where he was provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
3 OF THE 13 EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS ARE BROKEN OFF FLUSH WITH THE BLOCK. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH ONLINE AND THOUSANDS OF OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING. LOOKING FOR GMC TO COVER THE COSTS TO FIX THIS (SHOULD BE RECALL) ISSUE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED, BUT THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT ONE OF THE CYLINDER HEADS HAD FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THIS IS THE 2ND OCCURRENCE OF THE SAME INCIDENT IN 3 MONTHS. WHILE MOVING SLOWLY THROUGH A PARKING LOT, THE ENGINE JUST STOPS. NO SHUDDER, NO ROUGH IDLE, NO WARNING. WITHOUT POWER, STEERING IS IMPAIRED OR IMPOSSIBLE. TURNING THE IGNITION KEY RESTARTS THE ENGINE NORMALLY. JIGGLING THE KEY CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
