Defect: THERE MAY BE FATIGUE FRACTURES OF THE TIE ROD THROUGH THE DAMPER STUD MOUNTING HOLE.

Consequence: TIE ROD FRACTURES RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL ANDTHE POSSIBILITY OF A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy: REPLACE THE EXISTING TIE ROD ASSEMBLY, DAMPER, AND DAMPER BRACKET WITH NEWLY DESIGNED PARTS.
