Waev, who is the current parent company of Global Electric Motorcars (GEM), has indicated to me that they are no longer responsible for performing NHTSA Recall # 06V-222000. The reason provided is the recall was issued in a safety bulletin from 2011, and Waev is claiming they are no longer liable for this recall due to the lack of available parts from reputable suppliers. I am aware of at least 2 reputable suppliers that have the kit available but Waev is refusing to order the kit from them. I am ready to file a Class Action Lawsuit. Before I proceed, I want to confirm that Waev is still liable for this safety recall, and that it does not expire. I don’t want my vehicle catching on fire. This is a serious safety concern.

I have two unrepaired recalls that are still open, however, I can't find a dealer that will complete the recalls on my vehicle.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 GEM NEV. THE CONTACT RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE # 06V222000 REGARDING THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IN JANUARY 2007. SHE CALLED THE DEALER FOUR TIMES TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE REPAIR. THE TECHNICIAN CALLED HER BACK TO SCHEDULE, BUT HE NEVER CALLED BACK TO CONFIRM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE WAITED TOO LONG TO HAVE THE RECALL REPAIR PERFORMED. PRESENTLY, NO FAILURES HAVE OCCURRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 1,250, AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.*AK
