Defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rockport work trucks. The incorrect fasteners may have been used to install the optional E-Track Cargo Tie Down system.
Consequence: The fasteners can fail, causing the system to detach from the wall and increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will install the correct fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 17, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-522-7599. Forest River's number for this recall is 65-1894.

The contact owns a 2025 Forest River Rockwood. The contact stated there were tears developing on the awning on the passenger’s side of the trailer. The contact stated the awning was approximately 20 feet long and the largest tear was located towards the rear of the RV where the awning was attached to the trailer. The tear was approximately 41 inches long. The contact inspected the front of the awning and found a smaller tear of approximately 2 inches, which was also located where the awning was attached to the trailer. The contact stated that after activating the awning to retract into the travel position, the contact became aware that the two arms supporting the awning had not fully retracted and were not seated in the slots designed for the arms to retract. The contact stated that there was a gap of several inches between the support arms and the side of the trailer. The contact linked the tears to the failure of the support arms. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The trailer was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact purchased the trailer in 2024, and the trailer was not covered while not in use. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.
