Defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2013-2017 Dynamax and Coachmen Pursuit recreational vehicles and 2016-2017 Freelander and Orion recreational vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with shower curtains that may not adequately resist catching fire in the presence of an ignition source. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle...
Consequence: A flammable shower curtain may further fuel a fire, increasing the risk of injury.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FOREST RIVER FREELANDER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V756000 (EQUIPMENT). THE CONTACT INITIALLY CALLED THE KIDDIE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT HE WOULD RECEIVE A REPLACEMENT FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITHIN 15-20 DAYS. THE CONTACT NEVER RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE RECALL NOTICE AND CALLED THE MANUFACTURER MULTIPLE TIMES TO RESOLVE THE MATTER BUT HAD YET TO RECEIVE THE REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
