On [XXX], while traveling in our FR3 RV to a funeral in Ohio, we experienced a serious safety failure. As we drove through heavy traffic in Cincinnati, the refrigerator detached from the wall and fell into the cabin, forcing my husband to swerve suddenly and nearly causing an accident. It fell right into the dinette seating where our grandchildren often sit to color or I sit to work. This incident resulted in significant damage to the surrounding interior and could have resulted in death or injury. The following day, while returning from the funeral, we were contacted by the RV park where our vehicle was parked. Other campers reported seeing flames coming from one of the RV’s AC units. Upon further investigation, we discovered that these AC units were the subject of a recall issued in November 2024. Despite this, we purchased our RV brand new in March 2025, several months after the recall was issued. The dealership failed to rectify the recall before it was sold to us. These failures present unacceptable safety hazards and have caused us both financial and emotional stress. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
