Defect: KNAPHEIDE IS RECALLING 108 MY 2006-2008 PRO SERIES TRUCK BEDS EQUIPPED WITH AN ICC BUMPER WHICH INCLUDED A PROVISION FOR A BALL HITCH. THERE MAY BE AN INSUFFICIENT WELD ATTACHING THE HITCH CHANNEL TO THE SUPPORTING STRUCTURE.
Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN BENDING OF THE HITCH CHANNEL OR THE HITCH COULD BE PULLED OFF THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: KNAPHEIDE WILL OFFER TWO REMEDIES TO ITS CUSTOMERS: (1) FOR THOSE CUSTOMERS WHO DO NOT USE THE HITCH, THE HITCH WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE TRUCK BED AND REPLACED WITH AN ICC BUMPER; OR (2) FOR THOSE CUSTOMERS WHO NEED...

Defect: ON CERTAIN LOW CAB FORWARD CHASSIS TRUCKS, THE UNSEALED INJECTION PRESSURE REGULATOR CONNECTOR IS EXPOSED TO THE OUTSIDE ENVIRONMENT DUE TO ITS LOCATION ON THE BACK OF THE ENGINE AND THE ENGINE'S LOCATION IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONNECTOR HAS A HEAT INSULATION SLEEVE THAT MAY RETAIN WATER AROUND THE CONNECTOR.
Consequence: OVER TIME, THE COLLECTED WATER MAY POTENTIALLY CORRODE THE CONNECTOR LEADS RESULTING IN VARIOUS ENGINE PERFORMANCE CONCERNS INCLUDING; RUNNING ROUGH, DIFFICULT OR UNABLE TO BE STARTED, OR ENGINE STALL INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Consequence: A PERSON STEPPING OR STANDING ON THE PLATFORM WHEN IT BREAKS COULD BE INJURED.

I HAVE A F150 2006 SUPERCREW. NOTICE ON THE DATE BELOW THAT I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY FUEL GAUGE. IT WAS ADD FUEL, WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE THAT MUCH IN THERE. FILLED UP ON NOV 4TH 20.00$ WORTH OF GAS AND BY NOV 7TH I HAD A FULL TANK. TOOK TO FORD DEALER THEY REPLACED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT IS AFFECT WITH THE FUEL. TOOK HOME STILL HAD ISSUES THE NEXT DAY. TOOK BACK THEY REVISITED EVERYTHING AND EVEN CONTACTED FORD IN DETROIT. THEY WEREN'T SURE WHAT WAS WRONG THEY THINK IT IS THE FUEL GAUGE. THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER ON IN BUT THEY ARE NOT SURE WHEN THEY WILL HAVE PARTS TO REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. (NO TIME FRAME). THERE RESPONSE TO ME WAS FILL UP AND WATCH GAUGE AND YOUR MILEAGE. THAT EASY TO SAY WHEN THEY ARE NOT PAYING FOR GAS. FILLED UP TODAY AS SOON AS I GOT DONE MY GAUGE WENT TO BELOW EMPTY, AND MY IDIOT LIGHT CAME ON. MY CONCERN IS WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON YOU CAN'T TELL HOW MANY MILES YOU HAVE TRAVELED, AND WHETHER WILL THE TRK WILL SHUT OFF BY THE COMPUTER READING THAT THERE IS NO FUEL IN THE TANK.
