TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-450. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE DASHBOARD ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER IN NEVADA WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO THE REPAIRED. A COMPLETE DIAGNOSIS OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR A WEEK AND REPAIRED AN UNKNOWN FAILURE. THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WHEN IT WAS STARTED AND THEN HAD TO RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A THIRD INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACED EIGHT INJECTORS. THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED FOR A WHILE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED ANOTHER TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATE 125,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE HE NOTICED THAT OIL HAD SIP INTO THE COOLANT RESERVOIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSE THAT THE OIL COOLER WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
