Fan Clutch Failure at 34,000 Miles, new clutch installed, fan clutch failure again at 47,000 miles. Causes unpredictable accelerations, delayed reaction and poor driveability. Ford did not honor warranty for first fan clutch as when they could service it, the truck was over 36,000 miles. No warning lights or other indicators, extreme engine noise when driving.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that there was a misfire in cylinders #6 and #8. The dealer later determined that the misfire was in cylinders #6 and #7. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000.
