I WOULD LIKE TO OFFICIALLY SUBMIT A COMPLAINT ABOUT OUR FORD F250 SUPER DUTY TRUCK. THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH IT AND THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FIX IT. DRIVING MY 2007 F250 SD AND HIT A BUMP, FRONT END STARTED TO SHIMMY. SLOWED DOWN AND THE SHIMMY STOPPED. HAD RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY GIVING INFORMATION ABOUT THE FRONT END SHIMMY. SINCE THE FIRST INCIDENT, IT HAS OCCURED NUMEROUS TIMES. MY TRUCK IS CURRENTLY AT 87000 MILES AND THE SHIMMY HAPPENS NUMEROUS TIMES A DAY WHEN I HIT BUMPS/DIPS IN THE ROAD. DIESEL SHOP TELLS ME TO KEEP TIRES INFLATED PROPERLY, ROTATE AND BALANCE TIRES AS WELL AS PROPER ALIGNMENT AND HAVE THE STEERING DAMPNER REPLACED. I OWN AND DRIVE A FORD F250 SUPER DUTY 4-WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK. I HAVE ON MORE THAN TWENTY (20) OCCASIONS EXPERIENCED A SEVERE SUSPENSION AND STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION, CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE. THIS OCCURRED DURING THE PERIOD 5/15/2009 THROUGH 1/15/2010. THIS ONLY OCCURS AT SPEEDS OVER 55 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I CROSS OVER UNEVEN ROAD SURFACES, LIKE AN OVERPASS OR A CHANGE IN PAVEMENT TYPE. THE VIBRATION IS SO SEVERE THAT THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT IS TO SLOW DRAMATICALLY TO LESS THAN 30 MPH AND MOVE OUT OF THE TRAFFIC LANES. THE VIBRATION DOES NOT STOP UNLESS I SLOW THE VEHICLE. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO KEEP THE VEHICLE ON THE ROAD WITHOUT SLOWING DOWN, BUT THE VIBRATION CONTINUED FOR MORE THAN 45 SECONDS. I HAVE ADDRESSED THIS WITH MY LOCAL FORD DEALER. 2007 FORD F-250 (42K MILES) - WHOLE TRUCK SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN I HIT AN IMPERFECTION ON THE HIGHWAY GOING OVER 55 MPH. I HAVE TO PULL THE TRUCK OVER TO GET IT TO STOP AND THEN CAN CONTINUE DRIVING. IT'S BEEN DOING IT THE LAST 3 MONTHS, BUT TODAY I FINALLY TOOK THE FORD TECH FOR A RIDE AND IT DID IT TWICE FOR HIM. SO FAR THEY'RE SAYING I HAVE THE WRONG SIZE TIRES, BUT THEY'RE THE SAME SIZE THE TRUCK CAME WITH AND GOODYEAR INSTALLED THEM, I'M WITH A STATE AGENCY AND DO NOT HAVE MANY OPTIONS AS FAR AS TRADING THE VEHICLE.
