Defect: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2025 E-Transit vehicles. The left rear axle half shaft may partially disengage from the power drive unit, which can result in a loss of drive power.

Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. In addition, a half shaft that is not fully engaged to the primary drive unit can result in a vehicle rollaway if the parking brake is not applied, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Dealer will inspect and replace the rear half shaft and power drive unit components as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed December 26, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final...
