Defect: CERTAIN PRO-A MOTORS CORNER LAMPS, TURN SIGNALS, AND HEADLIGHTS SOLD AS REPLACEMENT LAMPS FOR USE ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. SOME COMBINATION LAMPS THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.
Consequence: WITHOUT THE AMBER REFLECTORS, THE VEHICLE WILL BE POORLY ILLUMINATED, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.
Remedy: PRO-A MOTORS WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND OFFER TO REPURCHASE THE LAMPS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 3, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT PRO-A MOTORS AT 323-838-2988.

Defect: ON CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH SPEED CONTROL, THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY OVERHEAT, SMOKE, OR BURN.
Consequence: A FIRE AT THE SWITCH COULD OCCUR.

CALLED MY DEALERSHIP REGARDING THIS RECALL, THEY ADAMANTLY REFUSE TO PERFORM A REPAIR ON MY VEHICLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT MY VEHICLE REPAIR HISTORY SHOWS NO OPEN RECALLS. HOWEVER AN SUPPLEMENTAL ORDER ORDER#16 WAS ISSUED SOMETIME IN 2016 BY FORD REGARDING THIS SAME MATTER STATED THAT THE REPAIRS PERFORMED DO NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND A NEW PART MUST BE INSTALLED. MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE THE REPAIR THAT CORRESPONDS TO THIS SUPPLEMENTAL ORDER, HENCE IT SHOWS NO OPEN RECALLS, APPARENTLY IT WAS IGNORED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. I CALLED FORD NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I WAS TOLD THAT IS UP TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER SERVICE MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT DUE TO NO RECALLS OPEN SHOWN IN MY VEHICLE REPAIR HISTORY I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR LABOR AND THE PART.
