NOTICED ON A ROAD TRIP THAT AC WAS NOT COOLING WELL, VERY LITTLE OUT OF PASSENGER SIDE VENTS. TOOK IT IN TO DEALER WE PURCHASED FROM AT 52,000 MILES; THEY SAY COMPRESSOR IS "GOING OUT" AND ALSO SAYS HOSE IS LEAKING. SAID REPAIR WILL COST $1,600. APPARENTLY FROM ONLINE FORUMS THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE 500'S AC SYSTEMS, EVEN WITH LOWER MILEAGE. IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND FORD'S CUSTOMER CARE HOTLINE (800-392-3673) PERSONNEL SAID THERE WAS NOT RECALL, NO WARRANTY OR CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM TO ADDRESS THIS NEEDED REPAIR. WE ARE LONG-TIME FORD OWNERS BUT WILL SERIOUSLY CONSIDER NEVER BUYING ANOTHER ONE EVER. *TR
