Owner Complaints for the 2022 FLEETWOOD FRONTIER

2 complaints have been filed with NHTSA for the 2022 FLEETWOOD FRONTIER. Below is a breakdown by vehicle component.

Most Recent Complaints

#11535682 | VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER | | 6,200 miles
The contact owns a 2022 Fleetwood Frontier 34GT. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger's side windshield wiper detached while activated. The contact replaced the passenger's side windshield wiper by herself; however, the failure recurred. The contact then replaced the passenger's side windshield arm and blade. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and recommended replacing the faulty part with a shorter windshield wiper. The failure mileage was approximately 6,200. The VIN was unavailable.
#11477915 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | | N/A miles
Two incidents happened on our initial RV trip in this new RV. First, in a rainstorm the passenger windshield wiper kept catching on the edge of the windshield and finally broke completely off of the windshield wiper arm leaving the driver with only one wiper during a heavy downpour on an interstate highway. After a new wiper was installed and the arm adjusted to not have the wiper go to the edge of the windshield, a second incident happened. During a rain storm, wind caught the passenger windshield wiper blade and forced it past the side of the edge of the windshield where it caught again and slipped on the arm mount and began turning back and forth off of the windshield. This is a new model RV with top mounted (above the windshield) windshield wipers. To me it appears the top mount design is flawed, or the 36" wiper blades type is not the correct type, or possibly both. Also, about 20-25% of the drivers view is not wiped by this top mount design. Much of the lower left area of the windshield is missed by the sweep of this design. The first incident was reported to the manufacturer with no recommendations from the manufacturer. The contact stated two more incidents happened in 2023 for a total of four incidents. Both times the passenger wiper was pushed by wind while wiping and got caught on the edge of the windshield and broke off but the second incident twisted on the wiper but didn't break.
