Defect: VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. THE FUEL SUPPLY AND RETURN LINES CAN LEAK IF THE ALUMINUM BARREL NUT ATTACHING THE LINES IS TIGHTENED IN EXCESS OF THE REQUIRED TORQUE.
Consequence: THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN FUEL LEAKAGE. FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL SUPPLY AND RETURN LINES WITH NEW UPDATED LINES, WHICH HAVE THE BARREL NUT MADE OF STEEL.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A PROTECTIVE PANEL OVER THE HEATER HOSES.
