Defect: FUEL TANK LOCATED TOO CLOSE TO DRIVE SHAFT, SO THAT UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THE TANKS MATING FLANGE MAY BE STRUCK BY THE UNIVERSAL JOINT ON DRIVE SHAFT.
Consequence: CONTACT OF THE UNIVERSAL JOINT WITH THE FUEL TANK COULDEVENTUALLY CAUSE TANK TO LEAK FUEL, WHICH MIGHT BECOME A FIRE HAZARD.
Remedy: REPLACE WITH NEWLY DESIGNED TANK TO PRECLUDE INTERFERENCE WITH UNIVERSAL JOINT OF THE DRIVE SHAFT.
