THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WHEN DIAGNOSED IT WAS RELATED TO A DEFECT IN THE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. I CAME TO KNOW ABOUT A RECALL REGARDING MY VEHICLE MODEL ON THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE CAR WAS NOT IN THE DATABASE AND REFUSED TO DO THE REPAIR. IN THE RECALL LETTER IT SAYS THAT WITH THIS CAMSHAFT DEFECT THERE IS A RISK OF ENGINE CATCHING FIRE. *TR
RECALL 04V357000 WAS ISSUED FOR CAM SHAFT POSITION. *BF THE CONSUMER HAD THE REPAIRS DONE TO THE VEHICLE IN APRIL 2004, THE RECALL LETTER THAT THE CONSUMER RECEICED WAS DATED SEP, 2004. *TC *JB
THE CONSUMER RECEIVED THE CAMSHAFT SENOR AND THE BRAKE RECALLS. THE DEALER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED PER THE DAEWOO COMPUTER. *JB *NM

DEALERSHIP WAS CHARGING THE CONSUMER TO PERFORM CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR RECALL 04V357000 REPAIRS. VIN WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL, BUT THE RECALL PART NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED, ALTHOUGH THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. *AK
CAM SHAFT POSITION SENOR SENDING SENOR SIGNALS TO ENGINE. *BF THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE A DEALERSHIP IN THE AREA TO PERFORM THE RECALL. THE DEALERSHIP THE CONSUMER DID FIND WAS 2 1/2 HOUS AWAY FROM HOME AND THE CONSUMER DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THAT LONG TRIP AND SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THE CAR. *JB

SAFETY RECALL ON DAEWOO IN REGARDING TO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. *BF THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL, HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TOOK DEALER BUT BECAUSE THE LIGHT WAS NOT ON AT THE TIME, AN ENGINE CHECK WAS NOT PERFORMED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON EVERY TWO WEEKS AND STAYED LIT FOR 2 TO 3 DAYS AT A TIME. THE CONSUMER CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE RECALL TO BE PERFORMED AFTER THE INSPECTION, THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE NEEDED A CAM SENSOR REPLACED AND A FUSE KIT DUE TO A MALFUNCTION. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THE COST WAS 200.00 EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A RECALL THAT REFERRED TO THE VERY SAME PROBLEM. *JB
