Defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2003-2018 Forest River Berkshire, Charleston, Rockport, Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Riverstone, Salem, Sandpiper, Sierra, Vengeance, Wildcat, Wildwood, XLR Boost, Cargo Mate, Continental Cargo, motorhomes, recreational trailers, toyhaulers, cargo trailers and restroom trailers and 2009-2018 Coachmen Mirada, Pursuit, Concord, Leprechaun, Freelander, Orion and Prism motorhomes, 2009-2017 Coachmen Apex and Catalina recreational trailers, and 2013-2017...

Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

THE DEADBOLT LOCK ON MY DOOR JAMMED AND COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED. THE INSIDE MANUAL LOCK ALSO IS JAMMED. I WENT ONLINE TO ORDER A REPLACEMENT AND FOUND A RECALL( #13E039) BY THE NHTSA ON THESE LOCKS. THE MANUFACTURER, FASTAC INDUSTRIES CORP. AGREED TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE CYLINDERS. FIRST, I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL. SECOND, I CANNOT CONTACT FASTEC. THEY DO NOT REPLY TO EMAILS AND A PHONE CALL GETS AN ANSWERING MACHINE MESSAGE TO LEAVE YOUR NUMBER AND THEY WILL CALL YOU. WHICH THEY WILL NOT DO. THIRD, WHY CAN RECALLS NOT BE LOOKED UP BY RECALL NUMBER ON YOUR WEBSITE, SAFERCARS.GOV? THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
