TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET VENTURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UNDER THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED AND CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR A ROUTINE MAINTENANCE WHEN THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED OF THE RUST AND ALSO A HOLE IN THE FRAME. THE MECHANIC THEN ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,669 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 107,000.

THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS REPAIRING THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 123,000.
