I LOOKED UP MY VEHICLE PER THE VIN# AND A OUTSTANDING RECALL EXISTS (GM RECALL# N930018). THE RECALL #N930018 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID CONTAINMENT. THE RECALL REMAINS INCOMPLETE AND WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE CHEVROLET GARAGE TOLD ME IT SHOWS THEM THAT THE, QUOTE "BULLENTIN NOT AVAILABLE"). THEY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL CHEVROLET TELLS THEM WHAT TO DO TO REPAIR IT. THE FUILD LEAKING FROM THE TRANSMISSION LINE CONNECTIONS COULD HIT THE EXHAUST PIPE AND CAUSE A FIRE. WHY HAS CHEVROLET NOT BEEN REQUIRED TO TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE AND WILL THEY. PLEASE ADVISE. MY EMAIL IS [XXX]. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1992 CHEVROLET SILVERADO WITH PRO COMP MUD TERRAIN TIRES, SIZE: 33 12.5 /15 TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING 65 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE EXPLODED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE TIRE EXPLODED, HE DISCOVERED THAT THE REMAINING TIRES WERE SEPARATING AS WELL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE OF THE TIRES WAS 40,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING IN RAINY WEATHER FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. NHTSA RECALL 03V159000 WAS ISSUED. DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT REPAIR THIS VEHICLE FREE OF CHARGE BECAUSE THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. *AK
