TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD AND THERE WAS A CHEMICAL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE EXHAUST FLUID CONTAINED AMMONIA. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID WAS LEAKING DUE TO A GASKET FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
