I WAS SURPRISED THAT NO WARNING FOR A DOOR AJAR WAS ON OUR NEW VEHICLE. THIS IS SUCH A SIMPLE THING YET COULD SAVE MANY INJURIES OR LIVES. IT IS VERY HARD TO DETERMINE THAT ALL FOUR DOORS ON A VEHICLE ARE SECURE. I CAN THINK OF MANY INSTANCES THAT A WARNING LIGHT LETTING THE DRIVER KNOW THAT A DOOR IS NOT SHUT TIGHT COULD PREVENT INJURY OR DEATH. THIS SEEMS LIKE SUCH A SIMPLE THING TO DO THAT I WAS QUITE SURPRISED WHEN NO WARNING OF A DOOR AJAR WAS NOT ON THIS 4 DOOR VEHICLE. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN ADDRESS AS A REQUIREMENT ON ALL VEHICLES OR AT LEAST 4 DOOR VEHICLES? IS THERE ANY REQUIREMENT FOR WARNING OF SUCH HAZARDS?*AK
