ENGINE HEAD GASKET FAILED, CAUSING COOLANT TO LEAK INTO ENGINE AND DAMAGE BEARINGS. ENGINE WAS REPLACED AT A COST OF $2,961.87. TWO YEARS LATER, SAME THING HAPPENED TO REMANUFACTURED ENGINE AGAIN, THIS TIME THE INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET CAUSING COOLANT TO LEAK INTO ENGINE OIL COMPARTMENT AND CAUSE DAMAGE. COST TO US $390 ( NOT COVERED UNDER JASPER WARRANTY BECAUSE JASPER DID NOT INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET ON REMANUFACTURED ENGINE, HALLEEN DID). *AK

WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 55 MPH THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING ,CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING. THE DEALER DETERMINED, THE CAUSE OF FAILURE WAS A CRACK IN THE ENGINE BLOCK. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

WHILE DRIVING THE VAN AT ANY SPEED, ANY TIME A VALVE SPRING BREAKS. VAN GOES TO A ROUGH IDLE. HEARS A KNOCKING IN THE MOTOR AND THE MOTOR OVERHEATS. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWO OTHER TIMES; 8/11/97 WITH 130,000 MILES, AND 7/15/98 WITH 146,000 MILES. EACH TIME VALVE SPRINGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY THE DEALER.
