THERE WERE NO CONSEQUENCES OF THE FAILURE AS I HAD IT REPLACED. HOWEVER THE CONSEQUENCES COULD BE LIFE THREATENING SHOULD REPAIRS NOT BE PERFORMED IN TIME. WHILE AT THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP THE SERVICE MANAGER EXPLAINED TO ME THEY REPLACE THIS ITEM TO THE TUNE OF 2 OR 3 VEHICLES EVERY OTHER DAY! I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD REPORT THIS ISSUE TO YOU BUT IF THE SERVICE MANAGER WAS TRUTHFUL THERE IS A GIGANTIC PROBLEM WITH THESE. *NM
