Air bag on passenger side. transmission stared vibration brought in they repair it . This was still under warranty at the time. Now it doing it again. Seat they want change driver side motor . I fix it myself .it was the switch.
Vehicle shakes badly when it wants to stalls without any symptoms. All of a sudden the car makes metal rod knocking and scraping sounds i checked oil and it was gone. No oil leaks fresh oil metallic color in engine oil. Just financed this vehicle 2011 chevy camaro with 50,000 miles and don’t have a warranty. A car engine should not seize out of the blue at low miles and no oil pressure light indicated low or no oil. Very dangerous i lost acceleration going up hill and totally stalled. This needs to be fixed and recalled especially oil pressure light should of illuminated
HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TORQUE CONVERTER WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30 MILES PER HOUR AND THE MY STABILITRAK LIGHTS CAME ON, ALONG WITH ALL MY TRACTION AND BRAKE LIGHTS. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THAT, I LOST SPEED AND IT SOUNDED LIKE I RAN OVER SOMETHING. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 88K MILES ON IT. I ATTEMPTED TO TURN AROUND TO GO BACK HOME AND MY CAMARO SHUT COMPLETELY OFF. I ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE CAR BUT IT WOULD NEVER TURN OVER. I HAD MY CAR TOWED HOME SINCE THE DEALERSHIP WAS ALREADY CLOSED. I TRIED ONCE MORE CRANK IT BUT THIS TIME IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER, I JUST GOT A CLICK CLICK CLICK. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT DURING THAT WEEK TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER IN THE AM. I WAS CALLED MIDDAY AND WAS ADVISED THAT MY ENGINE WAS SEIZED (OR LOCKED UP). WHEN I INQUIRED HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN WITHOUT WARNING OR INDICATION, I WAS...
VEHICLE WOULD NOT START; REPAIRED AND THEN SYMPTOM HAPPENED AGAIN. SAID TO BE A FAULTY WATER BLADDER DESIGNED TO REMOVE LEAKING WATER FROM CONVT TOP IN THE TRUNK AREA, CAUSED BY TWO BUTTONS ON THE CONVERTIBLE TOP MISSING. DEALER SUGGESTED USING A CAR COVER TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING AGAIN. PROBLEM: THE DESIGN IS FLAWED AND THERE IS NO NOTICE THAT SOMETHING THIS DANGEROUS COULD HAPPEN. WHEN THE ELECTRICAL PARTS FAILED, (ENTIRE WIRE LOOM WAS COMPROMISED WITH NO WARNING!) NO SAFETY ITEMS WOULD WORK. IF VEHICLE WAS ON MAJOR HIGHWAY, DEATH WOULD PROBABLY OCCUR. VEHICLE(S) SHOULD BE RECALLED AND NEW SYSTEM DESIGNED TO ELIMINATE WATER INTRUSION. I UNDERSTAND FROM INTERNET THIS IS AN ONGOING SAFETY PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CLUTCH PEDAL ABNORMALLY TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SIX TIMES WHERE THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,300.

DURING ACCELERATION, THE ENGINE HESITATES AND BEGINS TO CHOKE. WHEN IT ATTEMPTS TO SHIFT INTO THE NEXT GEAR IT FEELS LIKE THE CAR WILL SHUT OFF. I WAS ALMOST IN SEVERAL ACCIDENTS ON THE HIGHWAY DUE TO THIS ISSUE. TOOK CAR TO CHEVY DEALERSHIP AT 845AM THE NEXT MORNING AND THE MECHANICS COULD NOT GET ANY TYPE OF ANSWER TO ME UNTIL 2PM. I WAS TOLD THEY WERE ON THE PHONE AND LAPTOPS WITH TECH'S SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE U.S. THE GUESSED DECISION, WAS SOME SORT OF CAN/AM OR CAM SENSOR. THEY DID NOT KNOW WHY THERE WERE FIVE ERROR CODES FROM THIS ISSUE. I WAS TOLD THAT THE MECHANICS WERE INSTRUCTED TO START FIXING THIS ISSUE, BY REPLACING THE SENSOR AND THEN RUN ANOTHER DIAGNOSTICS ON THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TO WAIT THREE DAYS FOR THE PART TO COME IN AND WAS TOLD THIS MAY EVENTUALLY NOT BE THE...
IN MAY, STARTED TO FEEL A VIBRATION/SHIMMY OF SOME SORT WHEN ACCELERATING IN ALL SORTS OF SPEEDS. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE. VIBRATION/SHIMMY CONTINUED AND GRADUALLY BECOME MORE FREQUENT SO TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO DEALERSHIP IN JUNE IN WHICH THE TECH TEST DROVE AND WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. WAS TOLD HE WAS NOT THE TRANSMISSION EXPERT SO THEY HAD THE SO CALLED TRANSMISSION EXPERT TEST DRIVE AND HE WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP THE VERY NEXT DAY AND IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE TORQUE CONVERTER. THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE FLUSHED DUE TO METAL SHAVINGS IN THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE HAD CONTINUOUS PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION SINCE THE TORQUE CONVERTER WAS REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION IS HESITATING WHEN ATTEMPTING TO INCREASE SPEED, IT SLAMS INTO GEAR, DOWNSHIFTS WHEN ITS NOT SUPPOSE TO AND THE VIBRATION IS...
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
