1) THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL NOT WORK CONSISTENTLY. OCCASIONALLY THEY WILL NOT WORK AT ALL. DEALER WOULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PROBLEM WOULD NOT RESURFACE IF FIXED. 2) WITHIN THE FIRST 6000 MILES MY TRUCK EXPERIENCED A DROP IN POWER, PERFORMANCE AND ECONOMY. IN ADDITION IT COULD NOT OPPERATE ON 87 OCTANE FUEL WITHOUT SEVERE PINGING AND CONSUMED 2 QUARTS OF OIL EVERY 3000 MILES. THE DEALER SERVICED THE TRUCK AND SAID IT WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. SIMILAR COMPLAINTS WERE MADE AT ALMOST EVERY DEALER SERVICE. WHEN THE TRUCK WOULD NO LONGER OPERATE ON 93+ OCTANE FUEL WITHOUT PINGING, I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED ALL OF THE ONGOING PERFORMANCE PROBLEMS TO BE CAUSED BY THE "VALVE SEALS LEAKING OIL AND FOULING THE PLUGS". I CONTACTED GM AT CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE (800 222 1020) AND WAS TOLD THAT A SUPERVISOR WOULD CONTACT ME TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER,...
