FRONT RIGHT TIRE MAKES A WHIRRING NOISE AND THEN A CLUNKING NOISE WHEN BRAKING. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM. I HAVE HEARD FROM OTHER GMC JIMMY OR CHEVROLET BLAZER OWNERS THAT THEY HAVE HAD THE SAME OR SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THEIR TRUCKS IN THE RIGHT FRONT TIRES. *AK

THE MAIN ABS CONTROL VALVE/MODULE HAS FAILED ON THIS VEHICLE TWICE. THE FIRST TIME WAS UNDER WARRANTY WHEN IT ACTUALLY FAILED TWICE IN ONE INCIDENT. ONCE ON THE HIGHWAY, AND AGAIN WHEN I WAS DRIVING IT HOME FROM THE DEALERS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THE FIRST FAILURE OCCURRED AFTER HARD BRAKING WHILE ON THE FREEWAY, THE SECOND OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING WITH NO BRAKING INVOLVED. THE IDLER ARM PROBLEM IS RECENT, WITH TWO FAILURES OCCURRING WITHIN 14 MONTHS. THERE IS NO MAJOR FAILURE HERE, THE COMPONENT JUST WEARS OUT ABNORMALLY FAST. THIS WAS REPLACED WHILE UNDER WARRANTY ALSO, BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE PAPERWORK TO BACK IT UP. *AK
